Asante Kotoko stalwart defender Ganiyu Abdul says the Porcupine Warriors are feeling ‘much better’ to beat Cameroonian counterparts Coton Sport in the return leg of the Africa Inter-club competition.
The Ghanaian giants posted a historic 3-2 victory over the Cameroonian champions in the first leg in Yaounde on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors will welcome Coton Sports in Kumasi on Sunday and the former Karela United star is hopeful his side’s will complete a double in the second leg.
Speaking to the press ahead of the crucial clash on Sunday, Ganiyu indicted that his outfit are in good spirit to record superiority over the Cameroon champions.
“So far so good, we are feeling much better playing against Coton sport and we are going in to get the points for Asante Kotoko SC”.
“It’s not going to be easy for we the defenders because they will want to put more men upfront but all the same it’s our job to defend and we’re working hard towards it”, he added.
A win for Kotoko on Sunday will see them book qualification to the Group Stage of the competition.
