Asante goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe has cautioned his teammates against complacency ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup reverse against Comoros Coton Sports of Cameroon.
Coton Sport of Garoua suffered a shock 2-3 defeat to Asante Kotoko of Ghana in a five-goal thriller at the Military Stadium on Sunday.
Two goals from Daouda Kamilou (penalty), Gueme Araina for Coton Sport; and three by Kotoko’s Emmanuel Gyamfi, Maxwell Baakoh, Abdul Fatawu have now put the Ghanaian club in good position to make it to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Ghanaian giants are the daunting favourites to advance to the group stage of the qualifying campaign against the Cameroonian club who were massively tipped to beat Kotoko in the first leg on Sunday.
Despite the sweet victory at the Military Stadium, the former Medeama SC shot stopper has urged his teammates to eschew complacency.
‘’It’s not yet over guys#NOO COMPLACENCY ❌💪🏽🙏🏼🤲🏻Let get it done in Kumasi.ALLAH ALONE ☝🏻.’’ Tagoe posted on his official twitter handle.
