The Phobians defeated CI Kamsar 2-0 on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium in the Caf Champions League.
After an uninspiring first half, the Ghanaian Champions lifted up their performance in the second half to completely change the game, putting two goals in CI Kamsar net after full 90 minutes.
Striker Kofi Kordzi came on as a substitute and brilliantly scored a freekick to put the Phobians ahead before another substitute Salim Adams increased the tally to 2-0 minutes later.
Coach Daniel Breard speaking after the game to the media saluted the Phobians for a good job done.
“We congratulate Hearts of Oak for qualifying into the next stage,” he said.
He however, blamed the pitch for his side’s failure to defeat Hearts of Oak.
We were only informed just on last Wednesday about our game today against Hearts of Oak, Our FA was not informed and us the club didn’t also had the info. In addition the pitch also affected our play .” – Coach Daniel Breardge said.
