Giant killers Jwaneng Galaxy lost their first game of the Group Stage after losing 2-0 to Asec Mimosas at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium.
A penalty was missed by the 33-year-old Essis Aka in the 36th minute for Asec Mimosas as they missed the opportunity to take the lead in the first half.
Karamoko Sankara, who scored Asec Mimosas’ only goal against Wydad Athletic in MD2 opened the scoring for the away side in the 57th minute. He doubled the Abidjan-based club lead in the 79th to consign the home team defeat.
Asec Mimosas now tops the group with 7 points as they will host the Batswana club on a fourth night in Abidjan.
