Algerian giants ES Sétif have expressed disappointment at authorities in charge of Baba Yara Sports Stadium after denying them use of the facility on Sunday.
ES Setif flew to Ghana on Sunday before travelling to Kumasi where they have pitched camp by road ahead of their CAF Champions league crucial clash against Aduana Stars in Dormaa.
They were however denied access to the Stadium when they attempted to hold their firs first training session having failed to make pre-arrangement for the use of the edifice.
But they later settled for the training facility at the Opoku Ware Senior High School where they are expected to train Monday morning before travelling to Dormaa, the venue for the first leg match against Ghana champions Aduna Stars.
‘’I’m very surprised at those responsible for the Kumasi Stadium because they didn’t allow us train there, I thought we are friends, and Africans who show solidarity’’
‘’Should any club come to Algeria and want to use ES Setif’s facilities, we will gladly make it available and I wanted to pay for it but they didn’t allow” ES Sétif General manager Djihad Boulahdjile told Oyerepa 100.7 FM in Kumasi.
The winner of the two legged tie advances into the group stage of the 2018 CAF Champions League.
