Ghana Premier League winners Accra Hearts of Oak SC have departed the country for Morocco on Thursday evening, Sportsworldghana.com can confirm.
The 2020-21 Ghana Champions have left the country ahead of the 2021-22 CAF Champions League playoffs second leg game against Wydad Athletic Club.
Hearts defeated the Moroccan side at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday, courtesy youngster Isaac Mensah’s instinctive finish later in the first half.
The 2000 CAF Champions League and CAF Super Cup winners carries a 1-0 aggregate lead to the second leg ahead of the Sunday game in Casablanca.
The winner of the tie on aggregate will walk into the group stage of the competition whiles the loser drops into the CAF Confederation Cup playoffs round.
Wydad Athletic Club will host the Phobians on Sunday in Casablanca with Kickoff scheduled at 7pm.
