Legon Cities head coach, Maxwell Konadu has congratulated Accra Hearts of Oak following their win in the preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League.
The Phobians beat CI Kamsar by two goals to nil at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon to book their place in the next round of the competition.
Hearts were far from their very best in the majority of the game as they found it difficult to penetrate into the opposition’s box, but Samuel Boadu worked his way out of the situation with substitutes Kofi Kordzi and Salim Adams scoring two late goals to ensure a win for the home side.
Following the game, former Asante Kotoko head coach and Legon Cities current gaffer, Konadu took to Facebook to congratulate the rainbow club.
Hearts are set to play Moroccan side Wydad Athletic Club on October 22 in the next round of the preliminary stages of the competition.
