Black Meteors midfielder Emmanuel Addoquaye Lomotey, says his side’s are fully prepared and ready to excel at the 2019 Caf U23 Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The Extremadura UD player, is one of the foreign players who coach Ibrahim Tanko will be counting on to make history in Egypt and the player seems to be already poised for action against Cameroun.
The former Dreams FC star tells SportsworldGhana.com exclusively in an interview that the team is made up of quality players coupled with experience and that they are ready to hoist the flag of Ghana higher when they kick start the tournament on Friday.
He says ”I think our team is made up of some quality players with good technical team so we are fully prepared and ready to deliver in Egypt. I think what we will need is the support of the entire people of Ghana to enable us excel at the tourney.
”We are ready to deliver and make ourselves and Ghana proud,” added the left-footed midfielder.
The Ghanaian team arrived in Egypt on Monday and will face Cameroun in their opening group game on Friday at exactly 7pm local time.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko and his boys will be hoping to make history in Egypt by qualifying to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, having failed to secure qualification in the last 16 years.
The Black Meteors have been pooled against hosts Egypt, Mali and Cameroun in Group A.
