The Black Meteors drew 1-1 with Egypt in their international friendly match played at the Alexandria Stadium on Thursday, June 15,2023.
Skipper Daniel Afriyie got the opener for Ghana from the penalty spot after Fatawu Issahaku was brought down in the penalty box.
Danlad Ibrahim denied the hosts after he saved a penalty kick on the 20th minute mark.
The defending African U23 Champions however managed to restore parity minutes before the halftime break.
With just a minute to half time Zubairu Ibrahim was sent off, leaving Ghana with ten men on the pitch.
Both teams were resilient with Coach Ibrahim Tanko bringing on substitutes as he continues to shape up his team for the tournament.
The Black Meteors are set to travel to Cairo where they will continue the pre-tournament camping before emplaning to Morocco.
The team is expected to take on an Egyptian Club side in a friendly match before they travel to Morocco.
Ghana is in Group A of the TotalEnergies Africa. cup of Nations and will face Morocco, Guinea and Congo.
The tournament is set to commence from June 24-July 8,2023.
