Cagliari are actively working on a deal to re-sign midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana from Bologna on a loan arrangement that includes an option to make the move permanent.
Discussions between the two clubs are ongoing as Cagliari look to strengthen their midfield ahead of the new phase of the season.
Sulemana previously enjoyed a spell at Cagliari and is familiar with the club’s system and environment, which makes the proposed return appealing to both sides. The Ghanaian midfielder has already indicated his willingness to rejoin the Sardinian club, giving the green light to the move.
If the deal is completed, Cagliari hope Sulemana’s energy, physical presence, and experience in Italian football will add balance and depth to their squad. The option-to-buy clause would also allow the club to secure his services permanently if he performs well during the loan period.
