Ghanaian striker Caleb Ansah Ekuban will play no part on Friday when his side Trabzonspor welcome Kasimpasa to the Senol Gunes Stadium in a Turkish Superliga Week 7 fixture.

Ekuban is still battling with Coronavirus after contracting the disease during the Black Stars recent friendlies and he is yet to recover.

The absence of Ekuban is a huge blow to manager Eddie Newton as the one-time Turkish champions continue to struggle for goals.

Former Arsenal striker Benik Afobe is expected to lead the attack of Trabzonspor on Friday as they seek a win which could move them from their eighteenth position on the league log.
