Ghanaian youngster Caleb Yirenkyi has earned a spot in the Danish Superliga Team of the Month for August after a string of impressive performances for FC Nordsjaelland.
The 19-year-old defender scored once and provided an assist in five league matches, a feat that also earned him a nomination for the Young Player of the Month award. He will compete with compatriots Prince Amoako Jr and Bismarck Edjeodji for that honour.
Yirenkyi joins top names such as AGF’s Tobias Bech, Jesper Hansen, and Copenhagen’s Mohamed Elyounoussi in the monthly selection.
The teenager, who attracted interest from several clubs in the recent transfer window, is tipped for a move to one of Europe’s top five leagues in January following his outstanding form.
Yirenkyi also impressed during the international break, standing out in Ghana’s qualifiers against Chad and Mali as the Black Stars edge closer to a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
