The former TP Mazembe starman notched his team’s fourth goal of the match to help them secure an emphatic away win in the USL Championship in America on Wednesday.
The Ghana International lasted the entire duration of the match and aside his goal provided two assists for his team as they sealed their sixth win of the season after eight games.
Asante popped up at the dying embers of the game to add the icing on the cherry when he scored the fourth goal to help his team to a resounding 4-1 on the road.
The 29-year-old’s sizzling performance in the game did not go unnoticed as he was awarded with the MVP award on the day.
The former Berekum Chelsea wing wizard has five goals and seven assists in the second tier of the American league this season in Phoenix Rising Stars colours.
The Ghana International now sit top of the assists kings in the United States League Championships this campaign.
