Black Stars stalwart defender, John Boye opened his goal account in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday evening against OGC Nice.

The experienced Ghanaian International scored his team’s only goal of the match as they came from behind to pick a point at home in the French top-flight.

Aminé Gouiri gave the visitors the lead in the first half after just 18 minutes with a well-converted penalty kick to make it 1-0 before the break with the away team in the lead.

Twelve minutes from full time, Metz were awarded a corner kick which resulted in a goalmouth scramble and the Ghanaian popped up to finish exquisitely to snatch a point for the home team.

The goal is Boye’s first in seventeen games in the French Ligue 1 this campaign for FC Metz who occupies 12th place on the league table with 25 points from 19 matches.
