Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has confirmed British born Ghanaian youngster Ethan Ampadu and Callum Hudson-Odoi will be given the chance to play against AFC Bournemouth in the quarter finals of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
Ethan Ampadu has already featured in a couple of the Blues first team games, and was part of the team that kicked out Everton in the round of 16 and Conte says the 17 year old midfielder is likely to start tomorrow’s game.
FIFA under-17 World Cup winner Callum Hodson-Odoi who, signed a fresh contract with the club could feature for Conte’s side on Wednesday.
Ahead of the game on Wednesday, Coach Antonio Conte revealed the youngsters are likely to be in action against Bournemouth.
‘These players could be involved, why not. These players are the future for Chelsea. Said Conte speaking to Chelseafc.com
‘Sterling is a really good player, Hudson-Odoi won the U20 World Cup. Ampadu played the last round against Everton, maybe he could start tomorrow.
‘Every day Amadu is working with us and working hard. I must consider the young players, if they deserve to have this chance.’
