South Africa will appoint a new national team head coach by the end of April following the dismissal of Ntseki Molefi who failed to qualify them for the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.
Sportsworldghana.com understands that over forty coaches have already applied for the vacant job with the most prominent ones among them being Herve Renard who guided Zambia and Ivory Coast to AFCON glory in 2012 as well as 2015 respectively and Belgian gaffer Hugo Broos who masterminded Cameroon’s triumph in 2017.
The three leading candidates who will be shortlisted for Interview are Carlos Queiroz, Herve Renard and Hugo after which one will be chosen by April 30.
South Africa are paired in the same Group with old foes Ghana, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers Africa zone
