Former Chief Executive officer of Ashantigold football club Frederick Acheampong has expressed his disappointment over the delay in the final verdict of the case between Tema Youth SC Owner Winfred Osei Kwaku Palmer and the Ghana Football Association at the Court of Arbitration of Sports, CAS.
The case which was officially waiting for a final verdict on 4th Aug 2020 had to be postponed again for reasons best known to CAS themselves.
According to a release by CAS on 5th Aug 2020, the case with its verdict has yet again been postponed to 1st September 2020.
The Ghana FA Executive Council member who also doubles up as CAF match coordinator has had his say on the consistent delays by CAS.
Responding to a question by Kessben FM`S Midfield Action Sports host Joe Laka about the case at CAS, Mr Acheampong went blunt and nailed it from the top.
“I think they don`t respect us, it been far too long when you sit down and you calculate, I am even tempted to believe that they have not sat on the case,” He said as quoted by ghananewscenter.com.
A sizeable number of journalists were at the residence of Palmer the petitioner on 4th Aug awaiting the verdict and reactions yesterday but were all left dismayed as no verdict came.
