The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), has dismissed a case filed by Young Africans (Yanga) against former Ghanaian player Bernard Morrison.
Yanga believed Morrison breached contract as his move to bitter rivals Simba FC was full of irregularities since he had a supposed running contract with them.
CAS however on its ruling on November 22 entirely dismissed the case as it was established that both the player and Simba did nothing wrong.
“After all deliberations, the court has decided to dismiss the appeal and confirmed the challenged decision in its entirety,” reads the media statement.” Part of the statement from CAS indicated.
“A second disputed contract was deemed to have not been entered into by Bernard Morrison and he was ordered to repay the amount of $30,000 or Sh69 million paid to him by Young Africans Sports Club in relation to the second disputed contract,” ruled TFF’s committee.”
Morrison has been one of the most controversial players in the Tanzanian league since his move from Daring Club Motema Pembe in 2019.
