Lennon stressed that Frimpong is an extraordinary player and his form had been there since the off-season.
“Frimpong is a special player, he’s had a great pre-season and it’s like he’s never been away.” Lennon told his club’s website..

“He got better. He got himself in a great position and didn’t have the cross.”

“Greg has put in two peaches for the first two goals, and then Frimpong was excellent.

“A lot of it the boys work on with the coaches behind the scenes, and they got their just rewards today.”

“I didn’t think Hamilton defended badly, we just had real pace and power which is what we probably lacked in the first half.”

“Defensively they could have done better first half, but second half was good.”

“It’s not all about getting forward and putting in great balls, they still have to defence crosses better as well, which they will do as we go on.” He added

Frimpong won the Celtic young player of the year during his first season with the club.

He previously featured for the youth team of Manchester City.
