Chris Davies and Ibrahim Osman are in the spotlight after the Birmingham City manager applauded the Ghanaian winger for his hard work and instant influence at the club.
Ibrahim Osman announced himself in style by scoring the opening goal on his debut as Birmingham City defeated Leicester City 2–1 in the Championship. The 22-year-old struck inside three minutes, winning possession from Ricardo Pereira before calmly finishing to give his side an early advantage. The victory lifted Birmingham City to 10th place on the league table.
After the match, Chris Davies spoke glowingly about the new arrival, stressing that Osman has brought pace, energy, and confidence to the team. He noted that the winger enjoys taking on defenders, plays with courage, and is not afraid to express himself going forward.
The Birmingham boss, however, placed special emphasis on Osman’s effort off the ball. Davies explained that beyond his attacking threat, the Ghanaian works tirelessly for the team, presses opponents, tracks back, and willingly does the less glamorous work that helps the side stay competitive.
Osman, who joined from Brighton and Hove Albion after a loan spell in France with AJ Auxerre, has given Birmingham a lively and direct option on the flanks. His performance against Leicester, a match that also saw fellow Ghanaian Abdul Fatawu Issahaku score a stunning goal for the visitors, underlined his readiness for the challenge.
With such an impressive start and strong backing from his manager, Ibrahim Osman looks set to play an important role as Birmingham City push forward in the second half of the Championship season.
