Bechem United FC president, Kingsley Owusu-Achau has applauded Black Stars coach Chris Hughton for monitoring the Ghana Premier League in search of local talent.
The vastly experienced Football administrator is pleased with the initiative taken by the Ghana coach with his frequent visits to the centers.
“Coach Hughton toured the length and breadth of this country to monitor the league, and this is truly refreshing news,” he told Graphic Sports.
“In the past, we have had coaches who barely stayed in the country, let alone scouted for players,” stated Mr Owusu-Achau.
Bechem United FC striker Hafiz Wontah Konkoni was the only player on the local scene to be invited by the Ghana coach for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar in Antananarivo.
