The agent of Ghanaian winger Christopher Bonsu Baah has confirmed that discussions are underway for a potential move to the Saudi Pro League, following widespread reports linking the talented youngster with a €15 million transfer to Al-Qadsiah.
In an exclusive statement, Shallon Nkeshimana, the agent representing the 20-year-old Black Stars winger, revealed that talks are progressing positively as Saudi clubs show strong interest in his client.
“I can confirm that there’s currently a huge interest from the Saudi Pro League and that we are in talks to make it happen,” Nkeshimana said.
The confirmation adds weight to earlier reports from Belgian media indicating that KRC Genk, Baah’s current club, has agreed a transfer deal with Al-Qadsiah. The proposed contract is expected to span five years, running until 2030.
Bonsu Baah, who joined Genk from Norwegian side Sarpsborg 08 ahead of the 2023/24 season, enjoyed a solid campaign in Belgium. The explosive winger made 43 appearances in all competitions during the 2024/25 season, scoring 3 goals and registering 5 assists.
His performances earned him a call-up to the Ghana national team, where he featured in the recent Unity Cup, further boosting his profile on the international stage.
Should the deal go through, Bonsu Baah would join a growing list of Ghanaian talents making high-profile moves abroad, and Al-Qadsiah would benefit from the services of one of Africa’s most promising young attackers as they prepare for the 2025/26 Saudi Pro League campaign.
