Former Black Stars coach CK Akonnor has thanked Ghana’s president Akufo-Addo, Ghana FA and the general public in his farewell message.
He also thanked the players who played under him and his assistant coaches as well as his technical team.
Akonnor qualified Ghana for next year’s African cup of Nations tournament which will be held in Cameroon.
He played two games in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers winning against Ethiopia and suffering defeat to Bafana Bafana in South Africa.
Following the defeat, the coach has been fired for poor performance after the shock defeat to South Africa earlier this month.
