Charles Jesaja Akonnor, son of Ghana Black Stars coach Charles Akonnor has joined Belgian side KV Kortrijk ahead of the 2021/22 season.
The German youth international has officially put pen to paper on a three-year deal at the club which runs until the summer of 2024.
Born to Ghanaian parents, Jesada will now represent Kortrijk, leaving VFL Wolfsburg where he had played for the past seven years.
Speaking to Omasports after signing his contract with the club, the 21-year-old said: “I am very happy to join KV Kortrijk. It is a new beginning for me and I look forward to helping this team do well this season and for the period I will be here. They have shown great believe in me and I am glad to be able to start again here after a difficult period in my career.”
Jesaja now awaits both clubs to sign the agreements involved with the player also getting his transfer certificate.
