Italy national under 21 coach Paolo Nicolato has left out Claud Adjapong from his squad to face Iceland after the striker tested positive for Coronavirus.
The “Little Blues” had a mandatory COVID-19 test on Wednesday ahead of their trip to Reykjavík for the Euro Under 21 Group A qualifier on Thursday and the right-back of Ghanaian descent was diagnosed to have contracted the virus.
Adjapong has thus returned to Lecce where he is on loan from Serie A club Sassuolo for further checks to be done on him before quarantine.
