German-born Ghanaian teen sensation Justin Diehl has emerged as a top talent for Bundesliga side FC Koln.
FC Koln has tied the youngster to a three-year contract signing him on a new deal from August 2020 to the summer of 2023.
After the departure of Florian Wirtz (18) to rival Bayer Leverkusen, Koln is looking to tie down all their players with future prospects.
“Justin is one of our top talents. Even if he is still very young at 15, with this step we want to show him the long-term perspective of becoming a professional with us. We are absolutely convinced of that. ”, Sporting Director Horst Heldt von Diehl said after extending the contract of the Ghanaian youngster.
The Ghanaian teen was invited to train with the first team in the preseason after an impressive season with the U17’s scoring 9 goals in 12 games.
“With Justin Diehl the idea is that he first goes to the U19 and then comes back to us after the first or second international break,”
The youngster had a setback due to injury but has returned with an impressive form.
Justin Diehl has been in top form in the Bundesliga U19 team this term.
The lightning-fast youngster has proven to be exceptional in the U-19 team.
In the game against Fortuna Dusseldorf he was adjudged the best player of the game as they won 6-1.

Diehl was born in Germany and holds a German passport but he has Ghanaian roots because of his parents.
He has scored three goals in two games this season for FC Koln’s U19 side.
