Ghana Football Association [GFA] 2019 disqualified presidential candidate, Wilfred Osei Kweku Palmer has said that comparing Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi’s in-depth knowledge in football administration can never be compared to current Ghana FA boss Kurt Okraku.
Speaking in an interview with Accra-based AngelFm, the former Black Stars management committee chairman stated that Mr Nyantakyi’s understanding of the football game is unparalleled and can’t be put in the same level as any of the current personalities in charge of Ghana football.
He adds that it will be a mismatch to compare Kurt Okraku to Nyantakyi.
He, however, emphatically mentioned that Nyantakyi alone is worth ten of the current Executive Council members.
“I’m not bragging but Nyantakyi alone is equivalent to ten. The quality of any Exco meeting is by the leader.
“You can’t compare Kurt to Kwesi Nyantakyi,” said the Tema Youth SC President.
“Whoever was going to replace Nyantakyi was going to have a hectic time because when you take over from a colossus like Kwesi, you have to be mindful of so many things”, he added.
Kwesi Nyantakyi served as Ghana FA President for thirteen years and exited his post under bizarre circumstances following the premiere of the Anas 12 Expose 12th June, 2020.
The former CAF 1st vice president and FIFA Executive Committee member was caught on tape engaging in acts that have landed him charges of fraud and conspiracy to commit crime.
Kurt Okraku was elected Kurt Okraku to lead the association and revive the football industry in the country on 25th October 2019 under the supervision of the CAF/FIFA Normalisation Committee.
