There have been twenty-matches played between The Black Stars of Ghana and The Eagles Mali with Ghana possessing the better head to head record over their West African counterparts. Eleven wins for the Black Stars whereas Mali have won five times over Ghana.
The two countries meet for the 24th time on Friday in Antalya, Turkey representing the first match of Ghana since C.K Akonnor was appointed head coach back in January this year.
The international friendly also represents the first match of the Black Stars this year after the Covid-19 forced the 2021 AFCON qualifying games against Sudan – slated for March 27th and March 30th – to be suspended.
But international football has bounced back firstly in Europe and now the national teams of Africa starts to get busy as well.
