CONFIRMED: Black Stars technical team to receive three months salary today

The Black Stars technical team members will today Wednesday August 2,2017 be paid their accumulated three months salaries.

Head coach Kwesi Appiah, his two assistants Ibrahim Tanko and Maxwell Konadu, and other members are yet to be salaried since taking charge in May and supervising three games.

“I can confirm to you that MOYS will today issue cheques covering the salary arrears of the Head Coach of the Black Stars team Mr. Kwesi Appiah and his technical team”, Elvis Adjei Baah sportsperson for the ministry of youth and sports told SportsworldGhana.com.

When quizzed if going forward Kwesi Appiah and his men would be accumulated he replied ” No Company would want its salaries to be accumulated but sometimes the situation at hand is what will compel you to do so but that is not we are looking forward to”.

”The Cheques are ready and they will pick them today from MOYS office”

He added ‘Tthe cheques will represent the salary arrears of May, June July”.

Kwesi Appiah’s monthly salary is $35,000, hence will receive a cheque of $105,000 as total salary arrears for the last three months he has been in charge of the team.

His two assistants, Tanko and Konadu are also due $5,000 each every month per the terms of their deals and will take home $15,000 each.

The Black Stars team Coordinator, Stephen Appiah and goalkeepers trainer, Richard Kingson will also receive $6000 each per the terms of their $2,000 a month contract.
