Players of Asante Kotoko on Tuesday morning failed to train in Omdurman over unpaid bonuses ahead of their Caf Champions League reverse fixture against Sudanese giants Al Hilal.
The Porcupine Warriors departed Accra early Sunday morning for Ethiopia before they landed in Sudan on Monday for their game on Wednesday in Omdurman.
However, the playing body failed to train at the match venue following management’s inability to settle the bonuses owned them.
Coach Johnson Smith’s side lost the first leg encounter to the Sudanese Club in Accra by a lone goal and would have to better their performance and get a better score line to have any hope of qualifying for the group stages.
With their 0-1 defeat at home before Christmas, the Red and Whites must secure a win in Sudan to have any chance of making the group stage of the CAF Champions League 2020-21 season.
