The bankroller of Berekum Arsenal Alhaji Yakubu Moro strongly believes George Afriyie will put Ghana football on the global map when he becomes the next GFA boss.
The outspoken administrator is without doubt about the capabilities of the CAF AFCON Organising Committee member and says he is ever ready to
to put his head on the chopping board if Mr. Afriyie fails as President of the Ghana Football Association.
“George Afriyie deserves to be elected as GFA president in the upcoming election. He delivered a perfect manifesto last Saturday. The manifest contains good things that will help Ghana football. I can bet you with my last coin if George fails Ghanaians should crucify me. He is the man for the job,” he told Nimdie3 FM in Sunyani.
The veteran, who led his Berekum Arsenal side to become the first club from the Brong Ahafo region to play in CAF’s inter-club competition – Confederation Cup, was on the high table when the former Ghana FA Juvenile Committee chairman launched his campaign manifesto in Sunyani on Saturday.
His club –Berekum Arsenal currently plays in the Division One League and have openly declared their support for George Afriyie.
