Crystal Palace ace striker Jordan Ayew has expressed disappointment after he failed to convert a penalty in his side 3-1 against Manchester United on Saturday in the English Premier League.
Andros Townsend opened the scoring for the visitors after just seven minutes into the game when he calmly slotted home Jefferey Schlupp’s cross to give Crystal Palace a 1-0 lead after before break.
Wilfried Zaha extended Place’s lead to 2-0 in the 74th minute from the spot after retaking the kick which was initially missed by Jordan Ayew.
Manchester United Goalkeeper David De Gea had moved before the ball was kicked by Ayew, giving Zaha the second chance to convert the penalty.
Captain Winfried Zaha again struck five minutes later to grab his first brace of the season as Crystal Palace clinched all three points at the Old Trafford Stadium.
Ayew after the game took to Twitter to express his worry despite being pleased with the club’s performance in their away win against Manchester United.
”A great result & performance yesterday. Still disappointed about the pen but main thing was the result! Time to focus on Saturday!.” Ayew tweeted.
