Former Black Stars goalkeepers trainer, Abubakari Damba says he is happy with the competition in the Black Stars goalkeeping department.
Credited with the unearthing of many goalkeeping talents in the country, Damba is one of the best goalkeeper trainers in the Ghana.
Speaking to Asempa FM, the Hearts of Oak legend expressed contentment the abilities of the current goalkeepers in the Stars camp.
Highlighting the strengths of the three keepers, Damba said that “Even though we have had challenges in the past ,I think there is a balance now. We have Kwarasey who is the most experienced among the three, Braimah who has been our first choice recently and a young budding talent in Ofori who is understudying the two experienced players. We have the balance now and I like the competition in the team”.
Abubakari Damba however failed to pick out his best goalkeeper.
There have been a clamor for Adam Kwarasey to return to the post as the first choice goalie but coach Avram Grant seem to have absolute trust in the much maligned Razak Braimah.
