Medeama’s trip to the United States of America ended in a defeat to DC United on Saturday, October 14, 2023.
The Ghana Premier League champions were beaten 2-1 at the Audi Field in Washington.
DC United started the game strongly with their fan base behind them and they took the lead before the 15th minute mark through Dájo Pines and ended the first half with an advantage.
Medeama returned for the second half poised to get the equalizer and they got it in the 53rd minute when Nurudeen Abdulai pulled the trigger.
The Ghanaians didn’t enjoy their equalizer for long as Nigel Robertha restored the lead for the host who held on to win 2-1.
