Spanish side, Real Madrid are close to sealing a deal for Stade Rennais midfielder Eduardo Camavinga before the transfer deadline.
Reports from late night yesterday indicated that the Los Blancos had accelerated negotiations with the player’s entourage and look set to agree a with the Ligue 1 side.
The 18-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Madrid for the past two summer windows, while Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain were also thought to have registered an interest in him.
Madrid will pay 30 million euros to Rennais to acquire the services of the midfielder, signing him on a six-year deal until 2027.
Camavinga is regarded as a long-term replacement for Luka Modric, whose deal at the Santiago Bernabeu expires at the end of the 2021/22 season.
