Deputy Sports Minister designate Hon. Perry Okudzeto, again rejected claims that Ghana stands a risk of losing the hosting rights of the 2018 Africa Women’s Nations Cup.
He insists the Ghana has the full backing of CAF and that nothing will stop the country from staging the 2018 Africa Women’s championship in November this year.
Rife reports in the local media suggested that Ghana will lose out in hosting the competition due to bad stadia and training facilities.
“There has been doubt about Ghanaian’s readiness to host the tournament but the country has the support and trust of CAF to host it and we are hosting it,” he said at the inauguration of the local organizing committee on Thursday.
Ghana will be hosting the Africa Women’s Nations Cup for the first time.
Seven other countries will join Ghana for the 13th edition of the Women’s Nations Cup.
