Former Ghanaian international Mallam Yahaya insists Karela United arrow head Diawisie Taylor and King Faisal’s skipper Kwame Peprah should have made the Black Stars squad for the impending AFCON qualifiers.
The two players who have netted 21 goals between them in this season’s Ghana Premier League could not make the final list for Ghana’s AFCON qualifiers against South Africa as well as Sao Tome and Yahaya believes is a big worry.
“Changing of players being called to the senior team should be well considered because that won’t help in building the team.” Yahaya told Ankobra FM
“With Diawisie Taylor topping the goalscoring chart with 12 goals playing for the league leaders, Karela United, Kwame Peprah with 9 goals for relegation battling side, King Faisal they should have been called up to the Black Stars”. He added.
Both players however made the Black Stars B cut for their friendly game next week against Uzbekistan.
