Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani says he is optimistic his side will return to winning ways when they face Young Apostles in their Ghana Premier League clash this weekend at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Phobians are currently going through a difficult spell, having failed to record a win in their last five league matches, and will be desperate to bounce back in Week 28 of the season.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s encounter, Dramani acknowledged the threat posed by Young Apostles but insisted Hearts of Oak have the quality to secure all three points if they execute their game plan properly.
He described the visitors as a young, energetic side that thrives on transitions but stressed that Hearts must remain disciplined and more clinical in front of goal.
“They are a youthful side. They run a lot. They are very transitional; you know, they can also move the ball, but I think that we are also very strong in the way we want to work on our approach, and then we need to be very consistent in the way we are,” he told Hearts TV.
“I hope that we can close up the spaces that exposed us in the last game, and then we can be more clinical and more purposeful when we break them up in our offensive play.”
Dramani also used the opportunity to rally supporters, urging fans to fill the stands and continue backing the team as they look to turn their season around.
“I think that our fans have always been there for us. We urge them to continuously be behind us. We encourage them to come in their numbers… we are very, very committed to the cause of the club to turn things around,” he added.
The Week 28 fixture between Hearts of Oak and Young Apostles will kick off at 3:00 PM on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
