Ghana deputy coach, Maxwell Konadu, has urged Asante Kotoko supporters to stop mounting incessant pressure on Burkinabe international Songne Yacouba.
The striker has come under pressure recently for his goal scoring drought in the porcupine warriors Caf Confederation Cup campaign.
But Konadu, who coached the club to win their 23rd league title in the 3013/2014 season says the teaming fans shouldn’t turn around to blame the dreaded striker if he becomes ‘selfish in the box and begging chances go waste’ consideration the pressure they keep mounting on him to score goals.
Konadu believes coach CK Akonnor’s charges are winning with Yacouba’s massive contribution, something he indicates is the most important thing hence no need to worry the striker about his recent goal drought.
”Do not force #Yakouba to score goals, when he becomes selfish in the box n begging chances go waste we shouldn’t turn around n blame him. Dear team is winning n that’s more important. ”Konadu tweeted.
The Porcupine Warriors are pitted against Sudanese champions Al Hilal and Zambian duo of Zesco United and Nkana FC in Group C.
