Asante Kotoko play out an entertaining draw with lower-tier side Hohoe United in a match dubbed the ‘Don’t Worry’ Memorial Cup.
The game was played at the Hohoe Sports Stadium, where both teams fielded strong lineups for the friendly contest as the coaches watched from the dugout to assess the performance of their players.
The match provided an opportunity for new players to feature in the friendly, as well as for coaches to test some of the tactics that have been practiced in training.
Asante Kotoko took the lead in the 21st minute through Albert Amoah, who scored a clinical goal in the box from a perfect assist by Michael Kyei Dwamena.
However, Hohoe United refused to give up and drew parity in the 63rd minute, ending the game 1-1. The result was a testament to the competitive nature of the match, which was played in a friendly spirit.
The ‘Don’t Worry’ Memorial Cup was a fitting tribute to the memory of those who had passed away, and it provided a fitting platform for both teams to showcase their skills and talent.
