Dreams FC’s budding Prince Abednego Asafo says he idolizes former AC Milan and Ghanaian international Sulley Ali Muntari.
“Sulley Ali Muntari, he is my idol”, the Still Believe youngster told Footydreamsgh.com.
Asafo joined Dreams FC from second-tier side Heart Of Lions for the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
The 21-year-old scored in his debut game for Dreams in a 1-0 win over Karela United last month at the Theatre of Dreams at Dawu.
Asafo who is tipped for greatness indicated that his source of inspiration is Sulley Muntari.
“Sulley Ali Muntari, I really love him and like his style of play, ” he told Footydreamsgh.com.
“I like him because of his aggressiveness and passion to win every game. It’s good for every player to have that determination.”
Asafo has scored two goals so far in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League since making his debut on match-day 20 against Karela United. He also netted against King Faisal.
Sulley Muntari won the 2010 Champions League trophy with Italian giants Inter Milan under the tutelage of Jose Mourinho.
In 2008, he clinched the English FA Cup with Portsmouth.
He also made three World Cup appearance with the Black Stars in 2006, 2010 and 2014.
