Ebusua Dwarfs head coach Ernest Thompson Quartey has blasted some irate fans of Berekum Chelsea who physically assaulted him during a Ghana Premier League game on Sunday describing their behavior as “primitive”.
“They started intimidating us before the game. We came to play football but immediately we arrived at the stadium they started harassing and intimidating us.” Ernest Thompson told Nhyira FM in Kumasi.
“They wanted to search me because according to them I had juju on me. They also searched out team bus. I mean such primitive behavior” he added.
“It was such a disgrace. There were about 4 or 5 policemen standing there when they beat me up” he lamented.
Berekum Chelsea came from a goal down to win 2-1.
