Ghanaian-born English Edward Nketiah bagged his first major trophy with London-based Arsenal FC on Sunday.
The English Youth Ghanaian attacker made a cameo appearance in the final of the FA Cup when he replaced French striker Alexander Lacazette in the 81st minutes when Arse were leading by 2-1.
Chelsea drew first blood on the six minutes of the match through a wonderful finish from American youngster Christian Pulisic.
Arsenal leveled from the spot before half time when Chelsea’s captain Cesar Azpilicueta fouled The Gunners skipper Pierre Emerick Aubameyang in the 18-yard box with the Gabonese international making no mistake in slotting the ball home from 12-yards.
Aubameyang scored his brace with a cheeky ease finish in the second half after he was set up by Ivorian player Nicholas Pepe to give the gunners a 2-1 lead over the Blues.
Nketiah, who was on loan at Leeds United in the first half on the season played his part in Arsenal’s successful FA Cup triumph as he scored in the fourth round against Portsmouth.
Arsenal held on to the 2-1 advantage to lift their 14th FA Cup trophy to go two trophies clear of Manchester United who are on 12 trophies as it stands.
The youngster has his first major trophy in his young career after returning to Arsenal from Leeds United during the winter break.
Nketiah is eligible to represent either Ghana or England as he’s yet to play at the senior level for England despite excelling at the youth ranks of England.
