Eleven Wonders completed their matchday obligations in the Ghana Premier League after opponents Hohoe United failed to appear for their scheduled fixture, resulting in a likely walkover victory for the home side.
Wonders arrived at the venue as required, took to the pitch, and waited until the final whistle in line with competition regulations, effectively securing the result due to Hohoe United’s absence.
The three points, along with the standard 3-0 scoreline, are expected to be officially awarded to Eleven Wonders, pending confirmation from the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
However, the outcome has little impact on Eleven Wonders’ season, as the club had already been relegated prior to the fixture.
Hohoe United’s failure to show up further deepens uncertainty surrounding their participation in the league, following earlier reports of the club’s intention to withdraw from the competition—an issue yet to be formally clarified by the Ghana FA.
