Struggling Elmina Sharks FC inflicted a hard-to-take defeat on West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC in a week 20 clash at the Cape Coast stadium.
The home team got their blushes saved by a controversial late winner by Samuel Arthur in the additional time period of the match.
Both teams played well in the first period of the match with Sharks being slightly on top of the encounter especially in the first 30 minutes of the match.
WAFA grew in confidence minute by minute in the last quarter of the match and started threatening the goal area of the home team before the break.
In the second half, WAFA upped their game and were the better side as they dominated the game but failed to convert their dominant display into goals.
Just before the end of the match, goalkeeper, Ferdinand Sabi Acquah looked to have been fouled but referee let play to go on as Sharks grabbed the winner at the death of the match.
