Ghanaian forward Elton Acolatse scored a stupendous double for Israeli side Hapoel Beer Sheva in their Europa League encounter with German giants Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday evening.
The 25-year-old Ghanaian attacker scored his third and fourth Europa League group stage goals in his team’s painful 2-4 loss at home.
Jamaican star, Leon Bailey put the visitors 1-0 up after five minutes of play but Acolatse equalized for the home team seven minutes later to square things up.
Halfway through the first half, the Ghanaian forward provided a moment of magic as he individually scored a classic goal to turn the game in favour of the Red and Whites.
Unfortunately for the hosts, Or Dadya scored an own goal to level matters for the away team with six minutes to the break.
Fifteen minutes to full time, Bailey grabbed his second goal and Leverkusen’s third before Florian Wirtz added the fourth goal for Leverkusen in the pulsating game which ended 4-2 to the away team.
Acolatse has four goals in three group games this campaign in the ongoing Europa League tournament.
