Emmanuel Danso: The talented Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus wants David Moyes to sign for West Ham

Mohammed Kudus has been very open in his desire for David Moyes to bring Emmanuel Danso, one Ghana’s talented midfielders, to West Ham United.

West Ham star Mohammed Kudus has known Emmanuel Danso since he was a young boy, and the West Ham star is obviously a very big fan of the midfielder.

David Moyes brought the 23-year-old Ghanaian to the London Stadium from Ajax back in the summer of 2023.

He has been sensational for the Hammers but he could get even better after he told Moyes that his best position is in fact in the number 10 role.

Kudus has 13 goals and four assists to his name in 39 games for West Ham so far this season (Tranbsfermarkt).

I’m still stunned that we managed to sign a player like him. But who does the Ghana international think is the best player he has played alongside?

And is he good enough for the Hammers?

In response to a question asking him who is the best player he has ever played with, Kudus told Sky Sports:

“You don’t know him, but you will know him soon. He’s called Emmanuel Danso. I played with him way back from Ghana when I was growing up and he’s one of the best players I’ve ever played with. I’ve played with a lot of players, but he’s the one, he’s like my age. He’s a defensive midfielder, a number six, both feet, passing, I’ve always loved him.”

“You need to recommend him to West Ham!” The interviewer said.

“Right, right, she’s hearing it so let’s get the conversation outside, yeah.”

So, who is Danso?

The 23-year-old is a hard-working and tenacious tackling defensive midfielder who began his career with Sporting Football Club based in Kasoa, Ghana.

He earned a big move to Lyon in 2019, before joining Norwegian side Stromsgodset in the summer of 2022.

Danso has gone on to make 20 appearances for Stromsgodset, but hasn’t yet made any kind of real impact with them.

At 23, the Ghanaian is certainly not classed as an up and coming youngster, but maybe he’s about to have a late spurt in the game, so to speak.

Judging by the comments from Mohammed Kudus, Emmanuel Danso certainly has something special about him.

However, it remains to be seen whether or not Moyes acts on the Ghanaian star’s recommendation.

Below are the qualities Emmanuel Danso possesses that might interest our readers.

•Versatile midfielder capable of covering ground from box to box.
•Exceptional athleticism.
•Demonstrates elite decision-making skills.
•Displays a high football IQ, adept at intelligent play between the lines.

•Technically gifted player.
•Provides significant defensive contributions and is comfortable operating in the ‘6’ role.

Trademark move – executing line-breaking passes.

Danso shares similar characteristics with Kobbie Mainoo and is somewhat reminiscent of Thomas Partey.
