Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Gyasi scored his first-ever Italian Serie A goal for Spezia Calcio as they drew 2-2 in their away fixture against Cagliari on Sunday at the Sardegna Arena.
Cagliari had to fight back to lead 2-1 with Leonardo Pavoletti’s back-heel flick before Spezia scored from the spot to restore parity.
Emmanuel Gyasi scored in the 36th-minute mark of the game to give the visitors a 1-0 first-half lead before Joao Pedro drew Cagliari back from recess in the 52nd minute.
Leonardo Pavoletti scored six minutes later to give the home side a 2-1 lead but that wasn’t enough to fetch them all three points as M’Bala Nzola scored a stoppage-time goal after brilliantly converting a penalty awarded the visiting them.
The Ghanaian international scored an impressive nine goals to power Spezia Calcio to the Atalian Serie A for the first time in hundred and fourteen years.
