Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Gyasi continued his impressive display in the Italian Serie B for Spezia Calcio as he scored and also provided an assist in their 5-1 drubbing of Cosenza on Friday night at the Stadio Alberto Picco.
Bulgarian forward Andrey Galabinov opened the scoring for the home side after just six minutes into the game before Emmanuel Gyasi made it 2-0 in the 20th minute as they picked a 2-0 lead after break.
Back from recess, Spezia kept pushing for more goals and finally got their in the 50th minute through Giuseppe Mastinu.
Five minutes later, Giuseppe Mastinu grabbed his second in the game, increasing his side’s lead to 4-0 but Mirko Bruccini reduced the deficit to 4-1 in the 63rd minute.
M’bala Nzola then struck in the 66th minute with a calm finish to give Spezia a 5-1 victory after regulation time.
Gyasi,26, lasted the entire duration of the game.
Born in Italy to Ghanaian parents, Gyasi is eligible to represent Ghana and could soon be handed his maiden call-up by Black Stars coach CK Akonnor following his scintillating form for Spezia Calcio this season.
The highly-talented attacker has so far netted eight goals with three assists to his name for Spezia.
