Ghanaian defender Emmanuel Hackman scored what proved to be the winner on Monday night as Portimonense defeated Maritimo by three goals to two in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.
Hackman dart into the box to connect a superb pass from Ricardo Va Te for his side’s third goal in the 58th minute after Bruno Tabata and Ailton Boa Morte had opened the scoring with Rodrigo Pinto reducing the deficit for the visitors.
The Ghanaian was unplayable on the right rear with his surging runs and ability to track back to defend which proved vital in Portimonense’s win.
He has now scored one goal in fifteen games at Portimonese as they lie 17th on the league log and continue their quest for survival in the topflight.
Maritimo scored another goal in the 94th through Pinto but was too late to trouble Portimonense.
